Over a decade of freelance journalism
From 2003 to 2013, I worked in Tokyo as a writer and photographer. I started out writing for US science and technology magazines, such as Wired and Discover, and then gradually moved on to producing photo and text features for local business magazines, airline magazines and a whole range of other publications. Towards the end of my time in Japan, I specialised in travel, food and drink.
My photos have been published by The Guardian, The Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Daily Express, De Morgen, The Week, Wired Magazine and National Geographic News.
